A Day Off Taking Care of Parker, Binging Netflix, and a Late Night Talk with a Friend (11/13/18)

Today I ended up waking up at at 1PM, and finally beginning to move closer to 2:30. I finally decided to get up and do something with my day, since I needed to go take care of Parker, my friend’s puppy. I finally got dressed and headed out, taking the subway uptown and heading to my friends apartment.

When I arrived, I brought some packages inside, and was welcomed by the incessant barking of Parker. He was in my friend Maddie’s room, and as I walked in, he immediately began jumping up and down in his cage, happy to see a friendly face. I took him out, and Parker began sprinting around his little fenced off area. I mean he has so much energy! I was with him for a solid hour or so, playing fetch and tug-of-war with him, working to deplete his endless energy. He continuously tried nipping at my fingers, and I ended up barking at him to make Parker stop. After a while, it was finally time for me to go, so I said my goodbyes and headed out.

I headed back on the subway, and stopped by Pick&Eat to get some food. I mean it was almost 5PM for god’s sake! I got myself a pizza and headed back home to relax for the rest of the night. I spent the rest of the night binging The Chilling Adventures of a Sabrina, and ended up actually just finishing the last episode as I write this blog on my phone. Like holy fuck it’s such a good series. I had to stop after a few episodes to make a run to Rite-Aid for some junk food to snack on, as well as a stop in the kitchen to heat up the pasta I made last night. Seriously, if you haven’t watched the show yet- start. It’s so good. I cannot believe the main actress who plays Sabrina is only 19 too. Like damn I need to step up my game ASAP. She’s v. cute, too so like, on the 0% chance she reads this- you’re talented af and I’d love to get a coffee sometime.

That aside, I ended the night talking to my friend Zoe for a solid 3 or 4 hours, about life and what her plan is next semester when she studies abroad. As per usual, it was a great talk, and we ended up joking, (and me cringing a bunch), of some of the reckless shit I said to her in the past- aka 3 months ago. I always love talking to her, and I hope she begins to have better days, since things have been rough for her as of late.

Now I really need to get some sleep, because it is 4:42AM and I have work tomorrow. AND I’m visiting Parker again, so sleep is pretty important I guess.

Until next time,

-Michael
